Chief Executive Officer (CEO)

The CEO is the head of the Administration, and it is their job to ensure the smooth operations of the Pays Plat Band Office.

The main responsibilities include: working with Chief and Council to implement their objectives, the supervision of all department heads and band employees, and working with Band and Community Members to address any concerns that may arise.

The CEO also acts as a liaison for consultants and advisors working with Pays Plat First Nation. Responsibilities also include management of budgets, enforcing Policies and Band Council Resolution implementation.


Finance Clerk

The Finance Clerk is in charge of keeping the finances of the band in order and accounted for. The Finance Clerk ensures the financial stability and viability of all departments and all future developments/operations of the First Nation.

The Finance Clerk works with the CEO to keep the Band Council informed of Pays Plat's financial situation.


Membership Clerk

The Pays Plat First Nation administers the Indian Registry program in accordance with the Indian Act.

The Membership Clerk can assist Band Members in registering various reportable events including births, deaths and marriages. The Membership Clerk can process status cards and provide application forms for registration.


Education Counsellor

The role of and Education Counsellor is to be Pays Plat's link to the Elementary and Secondary school boards. The Education Counsellor is responsible of the tuition, bussing, and support for these boards. Post-Secondary Education and Special Education is also handled by the Education Counsellor. There is also a counselling aspect for the students who need help.


Social Assistance Administrator

The goal of the Social Assistance program is to assist people who are in need of financial support and other services. This service is provided with the utmost courtesy and respect, within the regulations set out by the Ontario Works Act. Services may include: financial assistance, temporary care, referral to Ontario Disability, referral to other agencies, and Homemaking Services.


Economic Development Officer (EDO)

The goal of the EDO is to enter into business agreements with parties outside of Pays Plat to develop funds and opportunities for the benefit of Pays Plat, with the support of the Band Council. It is up to the EDO to find the opportunities and the Band Council to make it a reality.
